12-Year Anniversary of Timbres Store & Arthur Maia band show - Campinas, SP
The Timbres musical instruments store was commemorating its 12 years of existence on February 23rd 2005 at Daktari Music Bar in Campinas, Brazil, with a show featuring bassist Arthur Maia and his band.
Together with Arthur were Marcos Kinder (drums), Rafael Castilhol (keyboards), Emerson Arsy (guitar), Josué Lopes (saxophone) and Bruno Leão (trumpet). Arthur showed all his tricks and it was clear to the audience why he is considered today's best Brazilian bass player.
Arthur leaded the show and played a 5-string fretted and a 4-string fretless D'Alegria A-Dart basses, as seen on the photos.
Some bass players also showed their talents with Arthur: Nenê Silva, Rodrigo Montanhaur and Gilberto de Syllos, as well as singer Fernanda Fróes (who, by the way, is also a bass player herself!).
