In detail:
1) Pretty soon, the first D'Alegria electric guitars available! With a modern design plus a D'Alegria personal touch, the first units will be ready in this month of July. The official launch will happen in the next Expomusic Show at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, Brazil, due to happen between August 30th and September 3rd 2006. The D'Alegria instruments will be featured on the Elixir Strings/IZZO booth, including not only the new 6-string guitars but also other new models of bass guitars recently released such as the Dart FA (Felipe Andreoli model) and the 30-inch fingerboard electric upright Discovery model.
To see photos of the new guitars being built, please follow this link: http://www.geocities.com/rwerneck/dalegria/engl/guitars.html . To check photos of our new basses, please follow the links on the main page or visit our website's Gallery.
2) We have recently included in our stock a series of extremely beautiful Brazilian and foreign top woods, with styles to accomplish every taste ranging from the edgy exotic to the more discrete. Amongst the options we now offer: Chilean Laurel (burl), Brazilian Walnut (regular and burl), Mahogany Crotch, Flamed Maple, Oak, White Poplar (burl), Figured Ipê, Figured European Ash, Figured Cedar, Figured Jatobá, Canela Burl, Peroba (regular and Pomelle)... and more! It's really worth a visit, so if you're interested please follow the link on the main page of our site - http://www.dalegria.com ).
3) Talking about our website, the brand new version is almost ready to go online! This should happen anytime soon, but for the time being our current site is being kept totally updated anyway. The new site, though, will sport a more modern design and will be way easier to peruse. We'll also include on this new version columns written by some of our endorsers.
Meanwhile, we have just included some new videos in our current site. We have interesting videos of Felipe Andreoli, Trevor Bolder, Rodrigo Montanhaur, Geraldo Vieira, Zuzo Moussawer, André Neiva and André Gomes in action. More videos will be added frequently, so keep checking out! On the site's main page, click on "Sound" and then on "Video".
4) New articles have been recently published in several Brazilian and foreign magazines and websites, such as "Audiofanzine.com" (France), "Bass Magazine" (Japan), "Backstage", "Áudio, Música & Tecnologia", "Rock Brigade", "Cenário Musical", "Território da Música" and "Cover Baixo" (Brazil). To take a peak on such articles, as well as previous ones in other publications, please go to the Media section of our site ( http://www.dalegria.com -> Gallery -> Media).
5) And we have yet more news! We're now launching a new option for our circuits called The Vintagizer. This is an exclusive feature by D'Alegria, which works on both active and passive versions of our basses and offers through a 6-position switch different sound (tone) options, ranging from a more modern sound to a vintage one. Ideal for those players who need a lot of flexibility on their instruments, allowing a good performance of the instrument in different styles of music. More details about all our exclusive preamps, the Vintagizer and other features like the "Blend Circuit" and the Mini-switches for coil tapping or dual sound can be found in our website under "Products" -> "Pre-Amps".
