In detail:
1) In the beginning of 2007 we finally launched the new version of our
website, stored in the very same address as before:
http://www.dalegria.com . We now offer a dynamic "News" section
which will be frequently updated whenever a new product is released, or
a new event is scheduled, anything worth announcing is happening. The
"Products" section is now more organized and so it's easier to find the
desired info about any instruments, woods, etc. The "Gallery" now
features plenty of good quality pics, sound samples and videos of all
our basses and guitars. On the "Pricing" section we have available
price configurators for all models, and distributors/dealers details.
On the "Artists" area there are photos of tons of musicians playing
D'Alegria instruments, and complete info about our current endorsers.
Finally, on the "About Us" section we have included some Testimonials
from players from all the corners of the world.
We invite you to visit our site, and any comments and/or suggestions
will be always welcome!
2) Tracy Pierce, bass player with the Blind Boys of Alabama and who has
also worked with James Brown, Dr. Hook and several others, is the new
endorser of D'Alegria basses. Pierce has already won 2 Grammys and he
is right now recording his own solo CD, besides touring incessantly with
the Blind Boys. He will be playing from now on a 5-string D'Alegria
Defender Deluxe bass. Welcome aboard, Trae!

3) At the end of this month the 2007 edition of the London Guitar Show
will happen at ExCel London. Through our new UK distributor, Woodview
Enterprises, we'll have some instruments available there: a 5-string
Dart Deluxe bass, a 4-string Defender Deluxe bass, and a 6-string
Dimension guitar. All instruments will feature special exotic Brazilian
wood tops, and both basses will include the exclusive Vintagizer control
(a switch offering 6 different positions for special tone control),
mini-switches for series/parallel selection, and the ToneChaser TC-3B

4) Since the end of last year most of the active D'Alegria instruments
have been including the ToneChaser preamps. Originally a
D'Alegria-projected and manufactured circuit, exhaustively tested in our
instruments for years, it has been recently licensed to ToneChaser
Electronics (
http://www.tonechaser.com ) who now produces it for us and for other
manufacturers as well. Very soon their handwound pickups for basses and
guitars will be available as well for all our instruments.
5) André Neiva, the renowned bass player member of the Marcio
Montarroyos Band and the instrumental group Cama de Gato amongst several
other projects, received this weekend his new bass: the Dart AN - André
Neiva signature model. Especially projected for Neiva, a D'Alegria
endorser, this bass has 6 strings, a short 32-inch fingerboard (yet
keeping the tension and a powerful sound as well), a new exclusive body
shape and a White Poplar frontal veneering (a very beautiful exotic

6) Our new 6-string electric guitar, the Dimension, is now ready and the
first units have been produced and delivered! All the details, photos,

As mentioned above, at the London Guitar Show we'll have one available
at the Woodview/D'Alegria booth for you to try, including a beautiful
Imbuia (Brazilian Walnut) top and handwound ToneChaser pickups!
7) The Dragster model has been almost completely re-projected recently,
and the first revamped units will be ready in the beginning of May. Now
available in a 24-fret configuration, with different body and headstock

8) Talking about musical events, we were recently at some prestigious
shows in different parts of the world, including the Expomusic Fair 2006
in S? Paulo, Brazil as well as the Winter NAMM 2007 in Anaheim, CA, USA

9) News about the D'Alegria endorsers:
** Trevor Bolder and Uriah Heep have been recording their new studio
album in the Chapel Recording Studios in the UK. Trevor is a D'Alegria
endorser and plays a 4-string D'Alegria Defender TB signature model.

** Tracy Pierce is now touring with The Blind Boys of Alabama in the USA
and Canada. Later this year they'll go to Europe and play in countries
like France, Spain, England, Ireland and Slovakia. More details at

** Zuzo Moussawer, who won the 2nd place in the First International Solo
Bass Competition, is now living in the USA and teaching bass guitar
classes (real face-to-face or long distance, online classes). If you're
